Parents As Teachers (PAT)

PAT

PAT is a parent education and family support program serving families from pregnancy through their child’s fifth birthday.

PAT helps link parents to community resources.

PAT families receive in-home visits by a parent educator who shares age appropriate child development and parenting information.

PAT group meetings give parents the opportunity to share parenting and child development information. Periodic screenings assess children’s overall development. Studies show that PAT children are more advanced in language, social development, problem solving and other cognitive abilities. PAT parents are more involved in their child’s schooling and more confident about parenting. The PAT program is FREE and funded by the Partnership For Children Of Sampson County. For more information about this program or to take advantage of our Parents as Teachers in home services call (910) 592-9399

Group Connections

PAT Group Connections give parents the opportunity to share parenting and child development information. Group Connections also give the children a time and place to socialize with other children, which is always a great time.
